Saturday’s Top 5 Laughs!

  1. We usually keep the bathroom door closed when G is on the move around the house. Sometimes though one of us will forget to close the door. Well, you can only imagine what kind of excitement that brings a fifteen month old. Today she got hold of the toilet paper roll. It was only a matter of time I guess. She unrolled that thing faster than I have ever seen, but it somehow seemed like slow motion, too. She was unrolling it and I was trying to get to her as fast as my legs would let me. Of course she though this was LOL hysterical! Which reminds me…we need toilet paper!
  2. Guess who can reach the buttons on the blu-ray player? I know I know, I’m short, but I can clearly reach. Well G can reach now and I’m not sure what we can do to change that. So we will watch the tray roll in and out waiting for a disk to be placed in it. Fun eh? Oooh and it lights up too! Fancy!
  3. DH taught her to blow kisses today and its just too freaking adorable. She puts her hands to her mouth and then makes a kiss sound. I adore it, and I just adore her!  (Now I’m sounding like my mom).
  4. We have a weird closet door in our bedroom. Its like a regular door that someone cut in half and put two doorknobs on. I guess it is a good idea for someone in the world, but I’m all set. I prefer a one door type of operation. So, now that you know what kind of closet door we have you can only imagine little chubby toddler fingers prying the two halves apart to open it. And then you can imagine all of your shoes tossed around or clothes off their hangers! Well this Mama has a solution! I put the laundry basket in front of said closet now. Of course this makes it a bit of a challenge when you want to get dressed and you are in a bath towel.
  5. Today I was packing up clothes from G’s closet that don’t fit her anymore. I had put them all into a laundry basket to make it easier to take down to the basement and put into a Rubbermaid tote. I took a shower and DH was “watching” her while I did. Guess where all the neatly folded clothes were when I got out of the shower? They weren’t in the laundry basket…they were tossed all over my bedroom floor. And, there is this one blue onesie that she must have been searching for because she found it and was walking all around the house with it like she had won a contest.
I hope you have a lovely weekend. We will be visiting family this weekend as we do most every weekend. Here are some funny pictures from our week. Check out G looking at her Uncle Vinny!

  1. They always seem to unroll the brand new roll of toilet paper too! Why is that?! G is so cute in that photo!

Your closet description also made me laugh!

Our three year old is still obsessed with the buttons on electronics and putting movies in for herself. I think it's going to be a long road for you mama :)

  2. Aww. Blowing kisses– that's so sweet. I also love the story about the blue onesie. That's hilarious, and I'm pretty sure that's going to start happening to me in the near future. My almost 10 month old already loves “helping” me fold clothes, which pretty much consists of him unfolding what I've already folded. He gets especially excited when it's a load of his clothes and his blanket is in the mix.

    • I'm all for any “help” I can get with folding laundry so hopefully we can teach her to keep the folded laundry IN the basket. She also likes to take her folded clothes out of the drawers. HEHE! Oh to be a little one again!

  3. You have a very curious and busy toddler in your house, aren't they fun!? Mine likes to get his siblings markers or pens and write all over himself, thankfully not too much damage has been done to the house…yet…ha!

  4. Aw-hayley used to do the toilet paper thing too. It went all over the house:) That is so funny with the buttons. No more watching tv for you:) She is going to put on what she wants. I love that she is blowing kisses. So stinkin cute!! Lol at the closet. I love the pictures too. Looks like they are having a staring contest:)

  5. I love #5 – she's too funny and she is getting so big!

  6. Oh don't you just love it when our husbands “watch” them?? Watch but don't do anything to stop the chaos lol. I love #1!! They really do act like the bathroom door being left open is the best thing that could ever happen, lol! Cupcakes can blow kisses now too! It's so cute! <3

  7. Awww, I remember the first time Ellie got a hold of the toilet paper roll! Hubby was mad at the wasted paper, but I was laughing hysterically! :-)

  8. She sounds like so much fun! My son did the toilet paper roll thing too. In fact, he's six, and sometimes he still does it just to get a reaction. Grrrr.
