Saturday’s Top 5 Laughs!

So the past week has been nothing short of a whirlwind. Moving the entire contents of our house in Rhode Island to New York with a toddler…a teething 18 month old. Yep, you can only imagine. Its really not that far from RI. About a 2.5 hour ride in the car. Nevertheless, car rides and G have never quite mixed. Well, I’ve gotten off topic…lets have some laughs!
  1. Lucky for us Gram and Papa {my parents} came up last Friday to help us unpack and put things into order. Well, Papa left this past Wednesday and went back to RI for work. There is a guest room on the first floor. Every morning since, G has gone to the the top of the first floor stairs and yelled for her Papa! As if we keep him in the basement and only let him out when its time to work!
  2. Papa is one heck of a character. He like to teach G all kinds of new behaviors. This week he taught her to wink with one eye, and to squeeze her nose and say, “BEEP BEEP.” The winking is more like a Popeye face and now she squeezes our noses really hard like she might rip the thing right off your face!
  3. We went to IKEA yesterday {what a long ride to New Haven}, and G was toddling around the kids section where all the toys are, which included a train table. There was an adorable little boy about 2.5 years old. She was feeling very affectionate as she proceeded to rub his back and then poke him in the eye. She likes to point our everyone body parts just in case they forget.
  4. We have one of those most annoying toys like this. Well, Papa thought it would be fun to chase G around the house with it. She laughed her face off while running in front of him. I think this went on for a solid 20 minutes. When Papa took a rest she would get angry and stomp her feet.
  5. We have rarely let G watch TV, but this week has been an exception. DH’s brother left a Baby Einstein DVD in RI during his last visit with the twins. We put on the DVD and what do you know…she actually sat there for 30 minutes and watched it. It has helped us all with the early mornings of unpacking and manual labor. Nothing like sitting for 30 minutes in the morning and actually enjoying that first cup of joe.
Here are some pictures from our week! Have a great weekend!
