We are Here! Not Tasty Tuesday!

We arrived at our new home on Friday morning. We had planned on leaving on Thursday, but after the movers came and went it was much later than we anticipated. So, we stayed at my father-in-laws house and left first thing Friday morning. And here we are. Luckily my parents arrived shortly after us on Friday or else I’m not sure who would be keeping G entertained. Especially with all the stairs! {Side note- if you have any suggestions for toddlers and stair I’m all ears. We have a few gates but those are making me insane.}
Please bear with me as I am completely exhausted and my body aches all over from all the packing and unpacking. We went from a one level home to a three level home so thats another adjustment on my body too. I haven’t taken any pictures yet because we are still taking things out of boxes and I feel like we are living in a war zone.
We moved into a condo development because of the amenities {pool, playground, maintenance} and we really want to check out the area before we permanently put down roots. We figure renting for a year will give us enough time to explore. Oh, and the people who live in this condo development are TOTALLY by the rules. All strict-y strict-y. Oye!
The condo is located in a village called Brewster in Putnam County which is about an hour outside of NYC. It seems to be very family oriented and there are parks and playgrounds everywhere. The local markets are anywhere between a 10 and 20 minute drive away. A Whole Foods {my market of choice} is being built in a nearby Connecticut town so that certainly puts me at ease. My local CVS/Pharmacy is about a 20 minute ride which is every different than seeing one on every corner of Rhode Island. Prices are generally higher on everything. We saw gas prices at $4.45/gallon in the next county over from here. YIKES!
Well, I’m off to unpack some more. Somehow our drinking glasses got lost in the shuffle so I am hopeful they turn up soon!
Do you have any moving stories? I have a TON from this past few days alone…more to come!
XOXO
