Happy first official day of summer! Here in New York we are enduring the first day of several in a possible record breaking heat wave.
I didn’t feel much like being stuck indoors all day with the blinds drawn and the air conditioning blasting, so off to BURGER KING® we went to try one of their new menu items. Plus, who feels like cooking or preparing anything when temperatures are nearing 100 degrees?!
My local BURGER KING® is just a short car ride away. Its is very clean and the staff is very pleasant. I decided I would try the new Chicken, Apple, and Cranberry Garden Fresh Salad {made with crisp apples, dried cranberries, bleu cheese and Ken’s apple cider vinaigrette. The new Garden Fresh Salads at BURGER KING® Salads are made fresh daily with premium ingredients that can be topped with Tendercrisp or Tendergrill chicken. I also ordered one of the new Real Fruit Smoothies in Strawberry Banana for G to try. The fruit smoothies are freshly made to order with real fruit, low-fat yogurt, and juices blended together and each provides a full serving of fruit. Both the salad and the smoothie were really delicious and satisfying. I am looking forward to trying one of the other salads offered on my next visit.
