Walking is my form of exercise. I don’t belong to a gym and I don’t own any gym-like equipment for home use. Its just me, my legs, feet and a jogging stroller with a 25+ pound toddler in it. We walk every day around our plat, sometimes even twice a day. Pavement isn’t the most forgiving surface to walk on so I am always in search of the “perfect” shoe to keep my feet cool, and comfortable while being durable.
During the Spring and Summer months the last thing I want to have on my feet are socks and sneakers. Being a New Englander and having long and cold winters means my feet want to feel the breeze when the temperature hits over 50 degrees. So, when I am taking my walks I like to have a shoe or sandal that fits into that desire to be sock-less, but comfortable.
Ahnu was developed by Jenny Fredricks and Jacqueline Van Dine in California, 2007. Friends and mothers, athletes and industry veterans who share a work hard/play hard philosophy. Preferring trails over treadmills {much like myself} they enjoy outside activities with friends and family as a way to unwind from life’s demands.

For my review, based on my needs, I chose the Ahnu Napa. A fully adjustable ankle strap sandal that comes in two colors, black or bright chartreuse. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this sandal. I have been wearing them for about five days now. I have been talking so much about how much I love my sandals that my husband ordered himself a pair! No we can go for long walks with G together and be comfortable for miles!
