Here I am with another smoothie recipe. This is a twist on a smoothie that my mom has been making for years. I amped it up by adding the oatmeal and agave where she uses splenda or sweet and low {barf} and skim milk. G loves this smoothie too and I love that she gets some iron in her daily diet. Gone are those days of sitting there shoveling in that baby oatmeal twice a day. Do you have a favorite smoothie drink you’d like to share? I’m all ears. Basically, I’ll blend or juice anything and drink it. Its so easy and takes no effort and just one appliance.
Oatmeal Banana Smoothie!
- 1 or 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup of almond milk {or milk of your choice}
- 1 package of instant oatmeal
- a dash of cinnamon
- 1 tbsp of agave
- ice
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon and a swirl of agave Enjoy!

That looks yummy. I'll have to try oatmeal in my smoothies. It never crossed my mind! I don't use sugar of any kind in my smoothies except fruit juice if I happen to have it. I've gotten used to it not being so sweet.
