Its Friday AND its the start of Labor Day weekend! What do you typically do to celebrate the last weekend of summer vacation? In our house Friday night is movie night regardless of what we have planned for the weekend. And, its HOT! Too hot to play outside today so we took to our local Redbox and grabbed a couple of movies to watch while we stay cool inside.
The first movie we plan on watching is My Friend Bernard.
Synopsis: This movie is based on a Sam, a shy boy who is basically afraid of everything. Like strange shadows in his room at night to the small dog in his neighborhood. He is truly afraid of everything! One day, Sam meets Bernard, a polar bear who isn’t afraid of anything. Bernard then takes Sam on an epic adventure and helps him to loose his fears and enables Sam to face up to anything…even the worst monsters with comedy and humor.
My Friend Bernard has a 70 minute run time and is currently awaiting a rating.
The second movie that we grabbed is Rockstars.
Synopsis: This movie features the voice of Glee’s Jane Lynch, and is nominated for the Robert Award for Best Children/Family Film of 2012. In the film, viewers learn that it’s not easy being a lowly earthworm. Gloria and Barry live at the bottom of the food chain. But one day and old disco record turns Barry’s life upside down as he decides to make the world’s greatest disco band. Gloria joins in on the fun and rises to stardom as a singing sensation! They have no arms and no rythm, but earthworms can boogie too!
Rockstars has a 78 minute run time and is rated PG.
