Saturday’s Top 5 Laughs!

So, I’m still pretty exhausted from being at Blogher last week. I know, I still need to fill you in on all that. I have started the post, but I don’t want to bore you to tears so I keep editing it down. Plans for the weekend? Not us. Just going to take it day by day this weekend and hope for good weather. Next week we are headed back to Rhode Island for one last summer trip. I think we are planning on staying a week. I NEED to get some time on the beach before summer turns into fall.
  1. So earlier this evening when we were winding down for the night we were playing in G’s room. She started bringing out all of her stuffed animals one by one and putting them into the crib one at a time. As she put them in she said, “na-night moose, na-night owl, and so on.” It was the sweetest thing to watch.
  2. Yesterday G had some toast and eggs for breakfast. First she hugged the toast. Then, she decided to give herself a butter facial by rubbing the butter all over her face. Maybe there is something to this? Ever tried it yourself?
  3. G loves the fedora that Uncle Vin gave her.  Friday morning, when T put on Regina Spektor, she grabbed the hat and her crazy trumpet and played along.  She only has about two notes down, but she looked ready to sing some baby blues.
  4. While I was away from G at Blogher {for the first time EVER} my parents stayed at our house. Well, we have these flash cards with tons of different animals on each side. I guess my dad sat with her and went through every.single.card because now she can tell me what sound they all make. Yesterday she was putting her arms up in the air and doing something wacky with her fingers as if she was sprinkling fairy dust around. I just found out that is what the spider does. Duh!
  5. We had an overnight visit from her cousins and Julian decided he likes his cousin so much now he wants to kiss her on the cheek. And when I saw it my heart exploded.
