Its not new news that I am pretty much addicted to beauty products. If you read my blog regularly you will find at least one beauty post a week. So, when CVS/Pharmacy reached out to me to try out some of their new CVS brand products I did not hesitate! I have been a CVS girl forever. I even worked at a local CVS during high school as a shift supervisor and photo lab technician. I worked there just to get the great discount on all the great products they carry. Still to this day I have connections to that store with friends who are managers or work in the corporate offices. If you are from Rhode Island there is a CVS on every corner. I must say I’m a bit sad now that we live a fifteen minute drive away from the closest store. 🙁 But anyway…on to the NEW products!
For my review I recieved:
- CVS/pharmacy Dark Spot Corrector
- CVS/pharmacy Exfoliating Apricot Towelettes
- CVS/pharmacy Makeup Perfecting Face Primer
- CVS/pharmacy Keratin shampoo
- CVS/pharmacy Keratin conditioner
Okay, so first the Dark Spot Corrector is AWESOME! I had actually never bought or even tried one before. Especially now with my…ahem…aging skin I have a few spots here and there from an old acne scar or sun damage. This cream is rich in Vitamin C which helps my skin have a brighter and all over smoother feel and look. And, its a great value at just $12.99. A little goes a long way.
The Exfoliating Apricot Towelettes are great for scrubbing away any dead skin while leaving your face clean and refreshed. I really like these for travel since there is no need to worry about anything spilling. You can’t be the price at less than $5!
The Makeup Perfecting Face Primer is a must have! Once I learned about face primer a few years back I haven’t gone without it since. Its a great quick step after your moisturizer and before your base makeup. It gives your skin an overall smooth texture reducing the appearance of pores and fine lines where makeup can build up and look not so nice. A dab will do you so at less than $10 this is a deal. I have spent upwards of $20+ on face primers so I am excited to find that CVS has developed their own formula.
I have wavy curly hair. And sometimes I don’t mind it, but when I do and am looking to straighten it, well it is usually a long and time consuming process. As a mom whose time is limited any product that I can find to help cut down on my hair styling time is a winner. CVS has their own formula of Keratin shampoo and conditioner. Both are sulfate and paraben free which I really like. This shampoo will get your hair straight and fight frizz at the same time. No joke! Shampoo and condition and style your hair and it will be straight! I’ve tried several shampoos that say they will do the same, but they don’t. THIS DOES! I like that it is pretty mildly scented too and at just $6 it can’t be beat!
Did you know that CVS/pharmacy Brand products ring in approximately 30-40% less than national brands? They are also often created using innovative techniques and ingredients or unique, easy-to-use packaging, so that the difference is not just about price – many CVS/pharmacy Brand products offer benefits or features that the national brands don’t. See for yourself! Inside this package, you’ll find a graphic that illustrates how much shoppers can save by purchasing CVS/pharmacy Brand products versus their national counterparts. Also, in addition to store brand savings, members of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare savings and rewards program can spend even less and earn rewards during shopping trips – so looking great won’t break the bank!
p.s. All CVS/pharmacy Brand products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. If you give these items a chance and are dissatisfied for any reason, they can return the CVS/pharmacy Brand product (opened or unopened) along with a receipt to any CVS/pharmacy store to get a full refund — no questions asked!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
