If you are familiar with us you’ll know that we struggled with making the transition from bottle to sippy cup. We never made a big deal of it, we tried the switch every once and a while and would put milk in a sippy cup, but she just wasn’t having it. It was just a month after G’s second birthday that she gave up drinking her milk out of a bottle. Such a HUGE thing in this house for me! No more bottles to clean! I actually tossed them all because I was so excited.
I had ordered almost every single sippy cup on Amazon, bought everyone I saw when out shopping, but she didn’t care and I was just wasting money. I asked tons of moms and they all suggested their favorites, but I had them all. So what was I to do?
I cannot tell you how excited I was to learn about Kid Basix. So, you bet when they reached out to me about trying out one of their sippy cups I jumped at the opportunity. Why hadn’t I heard of them before? Hmmmm…maybe this would be the one?
I chose the Safe Sippy2. I liked that it had a cover so when I tossed it into my bag I wouldn’t have to worry about the spout touching anything. That’s just me and my germ-a-phobe anxiety. Also, its convertible. Use the sippy valve when your little one is just starting out with the cup and transition it to a straw cup as they get older. Right now we are using the sippy valve. The package includes two which is awesome in case I were to loose one down the sink or if the dishwasher eats it. Also included is a travel plug to prevent leaks. How many times have you reached into your bag to find everything soaking wet and no liquid in the sippy? Yea, not cool.
Kid Basix’s drink ware are made from all made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel, a natural antimicrobial used in hospitals for its cleanliness and durability and of course BPA free.
G loves her cup and that makes this Mama very happy! Now that we are expecting #2 you better believe I will be ordering one of each from their product line. Maybe even a little something for myself!
The Safe Sippy 2 2-in1 Sippy to Straw bottle retails for $15.99.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
