Thankful Thursday

Time to remember what we are thankful for!

  • This week I am happy to say that we are having another healthy baby girl!
  • Thank goodness I saved all the beautiful clothes from when G was a baby. Even if there are about 10 full bins that we moved from one state to another.
  • I am thankful for not having a tornado last night during the wild weather that came through New York and most of the East Coast last night. I hardly slept, but there wasn’t any damage to anything here so that is a relief.
  • I am thankful to have a dishwasher. After living without one for three years in our last rental, I think I washed enough dishes for a lifetime.
  • To have the opportunity to sit and eat breakfast with G every single day. We chat about what she wants to do and usually she is in the best mood after sleeping twelve hours.
  • To have the sliding door open a crack and let some fresh air in. The temperature here right now is 50 degrees. To me, that means, open a door or window a bit. Get that stale winter air out!
  • Hearing G’s little voice emerge more and more. She is so chatty now and listening to her put together a sentence or tell us a story is just precious.

  1. YAY for sisters!!!!!! So excited for you. πŸ™‚ That storm was INSANE. We were OK, too, but neighbors lost pieces of their yards, fences, flagpoles, etc. It was so loud though and I didn’t sleep all night, and it woke up Lily. Good grief! I have my windows open right now, too. πŸ™‚ G sounds so cute- I’m sure she is going to love being a big sister. Congrats!

  2. Wahoo! Did I miss the announcement that you were having a girl? I am so excited for you! Sisters are the absolute best! They will be best friend!! And the storm was crazy- shingles came off my roof.

  3. Congratulations on on other healthy baby girl!! That is the best blessing of all πŸ™‚ this weather is so crazy– I never know what it’s going to be like anymore! As soon as I get home off from picking up Jackson at school, the windows are opening!

  4. I 2nd Jen’s YAY for sisters!!! I love having 2 girls!! Bonus…sister to sister hand me downs!! I love seeing Sophie in all of my favorite outfits Ava wore….I tell Ava this outfit or that outfit used to be yours when you were litte!! Soon you will have another little baby girl at the breakfast table to talk to & giggle with!!

  5. Fresh air AND girls and babies and a dishwasher! Love it!

  6. Amen to having a dishwasher again. We went many years without…I HATE washing those darn sippy cups!

  7. I wrote about the gorgeous 50-degree weather in my TT post, too! And I am envious of your dishwasher! We own the house we live in, but it’s a two-family, so we live in the first floor apartment. The upstairs apartment has a dishwasher but we don’t. I’m bitter!

  8. Congrats on the new baby girl! And I sooo hear you on the dishwasher. We didn’t have one for the first year after my son was born and it was horrible having to wash all the sippies and everything by hand.

  9. I could not live without my dishwasher! I have only not had one for 1 year of my adult life and that was before kids, so I can’t imagine not having it now! Congrats again on the sweet baby girl!

  10. I have all the windows open! I so appreciate the random chances in the winter to air everything out. And I hear you about the dishwasher…we run ours 1-2 times every day. And there are only 4 of us?!

  11. Ooops and most importantly, congrats on the GIRL! πŸ™‚

  12. Hooray for healthy baby girls!

  13. Congratulations! And there is definitely a bonus to the hand me downs!

  14. So sweet! What a great list! Congrats!!!! πŸ™‚

  15. Congratulations on having another girl and saving the clothes. My next house will definitely have a dishwasher, I haven’t had one for 11 years.

  16. Congratulations! Sisters are so special! I have a sister and have 2 girls (and a boy), too! Enjoy your pregnancy!

  17. So exciting!! Congratulations on your *next* baby girl!! (and congratulations on still having the clothes that you need – I can relate to how awesome that it!!)

  18. Hooray for baby girls!! I’m so happy for you! I love tiny little voices! I can’t wait to hear what Avery will sounds like when she is G’s age!

  19. Aw, congratulations on a healthy baby girl.

And I totally hear you on cracking the windows at 50 degrees. The minute I can stand having the windows open they are, I just love the fresh air.
