Maternity Monday | Items I Want to Try This Time Around

Even at halfway through this second pregnancy there are still a few items I’d like to try before or after this is all over.

  1. BLANQI – a maternity underbust high-perfermance belly support tank. I’ve seen several fellow bloggers and they have nothing but good things to say about this tank. So, I’ll definitely be giving it a try. Its even good for postpartum support.
  2. NuRoo – A shirt that gives you total skin to skin contact. Its like a baby wearing shirt. My only concern with this is that its almost a long sleeve shirt so I wonder if they will come up with a tank since I’m having this babe in June.
  3. A co-Sleeper or bassinet– I had G in her crib on the second night home from the hospital, but since she will need her rest at night I want to have the new babe in the room with me and T.J. for middle of the night feedings. Plus, I don’t know what I was thinking the first time around dragging myself out of bed several times a night for feedings and diaper changes. This time I’m not so willing to physically get out of the bed. Call me lazy, but now there is a toddler involved.
  4. A Hygeia breast pump. I’ve heard a ton of good things about this pump too and I fought so much with my Medela I’m not willing to go another round with that brand.

So, that’s about it for now. I still have several items that were my favorite the first time around and I’ll post a list of those very soon. What are your favorite/must have items?

  1. Never heard of the shirt! Can you sew? maybe make it a short sleeve shirt. I can’t sew. LOL

And we used a pack n play with aubrey in our room. Much more use for the money. Still used it whenever we went to folks’ houses for the holidays and we’ll use it for this little guy till we get his crib. Buying from a friend so might be a bit.

  2. Thanks for the ideas, for my next time around. We used a bassinet for the first four weeks, and I actually got more sleep when our son was moved to the crib in his own room. I wanted to check on him every second when he was right next to the bed – and he didn’t sleep good when in the same room with us.
