Salmon Oreganata | Tasty Tuesday Recipe Swap

Salmon is one of my favorite fish. Its so full of good things for your body and you can prepare it in so many different ways and that is what makes it one of my favs. I know for some, the taste of salmon can be strong, but it really depends on the preparation and the freshness of the fish. I always will spend extra for fresh, wild fish rather than farm raised. I mean, we don’t eat fish every day so the extra cost doesn’t bother me.

My brother-in-law made this last week and sent me the recipe. I have been craving salmon for weeks now so it was a win-win! Plus this recipe takes about 10 minutes! YES!

Ingredients
  • 1-1.5 pounds fresh salmon fillet
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ cup grated cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • juice of ½ lemon
Instructions
  1. On a foil-lined baking sheet place the salmon fillet.
  2. Preheat the broiler to low and the oven to 325F.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over salmon.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover top with cheese, bread crumbs, and oregano.
  6. Drizzle a bit more olive oil over the toppings.
  7. Squeeze the lemon juice all over.
  8. Broil on low for three minutes.
  9. Bake at 325F for about ten minutes.

  1. I love salmon but I have never tried to cook it myself. This looks really good.

  2. My husband and son love salmon! We always love trying new salmon recipes.

  3. Had this salmon last night and we all loved it, including my kids! The only thing I did differently is the cooking temperature/time…I did 325 for 10 minutes and then did 425 for 8 minutes for a 1.2 lb salmon. AWESOME RECIPE!
