Welcome Spring With Easter Party Ideas!

Easter and springtime go hand in hand. It’s a great chance to shake off the winter doldrums and do some creative and crafty things to welcome spring. Have a small party or get-together to celebrate springtime and Easter. Use any leftover party supplies you have at home or pick some up at the discount store. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a lot of fun. Here are a few party ideas to get you started.

Egg Decorating Party
This is a good craft idea or something fun for a small party. Try to do it in a screened porch or in the basement, where it’s all right if things get a little messy. Hang up some cheap balloons and crepe paper for a more festive atmosphere. Cook up some hard boiled eggs and allow them to cool. Prepare a number of dishes with different colored egg dyes and let the kids have an egg decorating party. Be sure to set up a separate area for them to dry. Each participant can also decorate a paper bag to take home their masterpieces.

Help the Easter Bunny
The Easter Bunny is a busy guy. He may have a hard time creating baskets and collecting goodies without your help. At your party, create your own Easter baskets. Either start with some pre-fabricated ones from the discount store, use last year’s leftover baskets or create your own out of woven construction paper strips. Use your paper shredder to create Easter grass for your goodies or use pre-cut gift bag shreds to make a soft base inside your basket. Set up bags of candy in dishes and wrap up some peeps for participants to put in their baskets.

Easter Hunt
Invite friends to come over for an Easter hunt. Decide what the kids will be hunting for ahead of time. Use decorated Easter eggs for an indoor hunt or fill plastic eggs with candy or stickers for an outdoor event. Consider asking each person to bring a bag of candy to help keep costs low. Use spring theme decorations. Hang balloons or plastic eggs on string from the tree branches outside or put pinwheels in the yard to create hunt boundaries.
