Saturdays Top 5 Laughs!

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

We have a bunch of nothing planned for the long weekend. Still gearing up for our move next week, packing, and tying up loose ends. Fun stuff eh? Not to mention its been raining for about four days straight now and we went from a/c on to hooded sweatshirts and socks! Totally typical of New England weather. Hope to see the sun again soon!

What do you have planned?

  1. We took G to the pediatrician yesterday for her two year check up. Better late than never I guess since she is closer to 2.5! The new office we visited had tons of toys and was totally geared toward small children. The complete opposite from what T.J. and I experienced which was sterile and a few Highlight magazines here and there. There were cling on stickers all over the window and G made a bee-line right for them. She started taking them off the window one by one and handing them to various moms in the waiting room. I wasn’t going to stop her. Whatever kept her occupied while we waited. 🙂
  2. Last night G climbed into our bed around 1:30am! This is not a regular thing, but T.J. and I figure there is no since in fighting it since we all just want to sleep. She was nestled between us for a good hour when I felt that the sheet next to me was damp. I reached for her pj bottoms and realized she was soaked in pee. She must have blown through her diaper! {Side note, no more giant cups of water before bedtime.} I told T.J. to wake up and he scooped her up and down the hall to her room to change her clothes and diaper. Our sheets were soaked, and I noticed her bed was soaked too. Now, at 2:30 in the morning I am stripping down beds and putting on fresh sheets. I didn’t even bother putting new sheets on our bed. I threw the quilt over the bare mattress and grabbed a big blanket off the floor. G went right back to sleep in her own dry bed and T.J. and I stared at our iPhones since now we were wide awake. It will probably be funny some day right?
  3. We had my friend from RI and G’s Godmother stay over night last weekend. She drove here to pick up a few things that we didn’t need anymore and she could use for her new place. Once she left, G was very sad. The next day she asked me, “Can Auntie Suz come stay for three months?” Wishful thinking G!
  4. G is so excited to be moving to the new house she talks about it daily. Every time we get in the car to go somewhere she asks if we are going to the new house! She also wants to make sure we bring all her toys. Seven more days G! Seven more days!
  5. And lastly, here is a conversation G had with T.J. before bed last night. We had thunderstorms for seven hours straight on Thursday so they were discussed a lot. And, G has many questions!
