Wordless Wednesday :: Home Alone

Wordless Wednesday :: Home Alone

Yesterday was my first go at bring home alone with the girls and Rhody. T.J. left for work around 5:30am to beat the New York traffic and wouldn’t arrive back home until after 3pm.

The weather is not cooperating at all this week for outside play. It’s super hot and humid plus it rains on and off. Bleh!

So what to do with a one week old and a toddler? Oh, and the toddler woke up at 5am, but went back to bed until 6. Still, interrupted sleep so I knew she would be a little extra spicy.

Luckily G’s godmother and my in real life BFF had visited on Monday from Rhode Island and brought one of our favorite treats…Allie’s Donuts! So, we started the day off with a pink sprinkled donut and some Greek yogurt to round things off. G was thrilled.

Baby sister rolled along with our day. We spent time in the playroom and time in G’s room. Honestly I think G was just happy to have alone time with me for the first time in a long time.

We ate Mac and cheese for lunch and some fruit. Then nap time came early for everyone. By noon we were all in bed and G and Val both took a nice nap.

After they woke up we watched some Disney Jr. on the iPad in my bed while drinking milk and for me, another gallon of water. I forgot how thirsty breastfeeding makes me. Whew!

Poor Rhody I’d certainly not getting as much attention from me as he use to. I try to snuggle him as much as I can when I get a free minute. Oh, and when T.J. Came home Rhody ‘helped’ me make dinner. One of our routines from before Val. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, and most importantly we stayed in our pj’s all day long.

Hope you have a great day. Not sure what we will do today but I’d like to venture out of the house. I’ve only been out once since coming home from the hospital last week and that was to take Val to the pedi for a weight check! ๐Ÿ™‚
