HAPPY FAMILY :: “Stories From the Bright Side”

Here we go again.

Just when we thought messy feeding meals were over, we had another daughter. Round two of the messy baby meals countdown begins. Luckily, Val is just 8 weeks old so we have plenty of time. 🙂 There is not doubt I will try some of the same Happy Family products with Val as I did with G.

We started G on solids a little after she turned four months. Oatmeal, and then gradually introduced fruits and veggies. We tried several different oatmeals, but the one that worked for us was the Happy Family happy bellies organic baby cereals. They are just full of good things and omit the artificial stuff. Sure, you might pay a little more, but in the long run you are building a good foundation for your baby to grow strong and healthy.

After the oatmeal, comes the fruit and veg. Oatmeal is just one color, but fruit and veg, that is similar to feeding someone the rainbow. You can use your imagination…what comes in must come out and what doesn’t go in is all over your baby or tots face, hands, clothing, highchair, floor, you name it…maybe even your pet is wearing some baby puree!

Do you have a “story from the bright side”?

  • “Stories from the Bright Side” is a campaign that Happy Family is running throughout the summer that shines a humorous light on food and feeding challenges that parents have through sharing funny stories told by top bloggers that are then acted out by improv troupe the Upright Citizen’s Brigade.
  • We, as parents, have all experienced funny moments around food and Stories from the Bright Side is meant to make people realize that others are dealing with the same things we are!
  • Go to the Happy Family Facebook page and your own funny feeding story for others to see and laugh about (and also to check out other consumers entries).
  • There is a sweepstakes that is part of this contest where Happy Family will pick a funny feeding story to award $20K towards their child’s college education (the rules and regulations are on the Facebook page).

Just check out this photo of G eating a pouch. Of course, even when they are little they want to be independent and their is nothing more hilarious for a first time parent than watching your little one decorate themselves in food!

About Happy Family: Happy Family launched in 2006 after its creator, a mom, wanted organic and healthy food options for her daughter. Sure, making homemade food for your little one is the best, but not all of us have time for that kind of food preparation, including Happy Families founder, Shazi. Now, what began as Happy Baby has grown into a comprehensive line of products for the whole family providing organic food for babies, toddlers, kids and even adults! Happy Family has been named as one of the fastest growing organic food companies in the nation by Inc. magazine.
