ZAZOO Childrens Wake Up Clock {Review}

ZAZOO Childrens Wake Up Clock {Review}

G has always been a great sleeper. This gal of mine has been going to bed at 6:30/7pm for over two years like clockwork. She loves her sleep…loves it. She still even takes the occasional nap and of course this Mama loves a good nap time.

When we transitioned G’s crib to a toddler bed {its a convertible} things got a little dicy with her sleep routine. Now that she had the freedom to get in and out of her bed as she pleased, she figured that meant she could stay up later or get up earlier. But, even though that might be fun for her, it hasn’t been fun for Mommy and Daddy. See, we have to deal with the consequences of her lack of sleep. Lack of sleep for this little lady usually means she is hard to get along with and turns into a “toddler zombie” by later afternoon. This is especially true if she hasn’t had a nap or even some “rest time” as we like to call it.

A few weeks back, the lovely folks at ZAZOO Kids contacted me to see if I would like to review their children’s clock. Of course I was intrigued. It was perfect timing since we were going though several transitions that were messing up G’s sleep schedule. I couldn’t resist and was super curious to see how a clock could help us.

So far so good. G loves the music and photos, and she really loves to see when the moon is out or the sun comes up. Its helped us a lot! 🙂

The ZAZOO kids clock is unlike your traditional bedside clock. It kind of looks like an iPad, and even has several similar features like music, video, photos. But, its totally kid friendly, and has one very important feature…it has a rotating image of the sun or moon that shows your child when its time to wake or rest. It makes it perfectly easy for your child to determine if its time to get up for the day or stay in bed for the night.

The ZAZOO photo clock:

  • A digital time display is shown alongside the awake or asleep images. Choose from the pre-programmed images or select your own to personalize the alarm photos. Older kids love the clock/calendar, digital photo frame, music and video features.  The Photo Clock includes 11 built-in songs from children’s artists including Milkshake, Lunch Money, King Pajama and more.  Winner of awards from The National Parenting Center, Parent Tested Parent Approved organization and the NAPPA.
  • Also includes a remote control which I like because I can control it from the hall once G is asleep.
  • The ZAZOO photo clock is easy to read.  When the photo alarm “goes off” the image changes.  The digital time is also displayed on the face of the photo clock.  Your child will quickly be able to associate the image changing to “awake time” or “rest time”.
  • A second naptime photo alarm setting makes programming for quiet time simple.
  • The audio alarm can be set to use along with the clock time only display options.
  • The clock comes with pre-programmed images  of “awake” and “asleep” photo options that help your child know when it is the appropriate time to stay in bed or get up and start the day.
  • The simple images “come up” when the parent programs them to do so.
  • You can easily personalize the awake and asleep images so your own child is the star. Kids will love to see themselves in pictures on their photo clock.

You can order the ZAZOO Children’s Wake Up Clock on or through their website for $89.99
