Our Generation Dolls and Craft Sets #MMHolidayGiftGuide
Disclosure: I received one or the more following items for free. Regardless, I only recommend products that are a good fit for my readers and I personally use.
G is at the age where she is very into being a little mommy especially since she is a big sister. She sees me care for Val day after day and wants to imitate me which is very heartwarming, but also sometimes a bit too much.
Luckily there are so many dolls available for G to care for, and the dolls from Our Generation are just what I was looking for this holiday. I knew I wanted to get G a doll that she can dress and care for, but that was also affordable. I’m not ready to hand over my own dolls to her just yet because she is still in a phase where something can go from new to destroyed in a blink of an eye.
There is a Our Generation doll for every little gal on your list. Each doll is different and there are 50 dolls to choose from.
We received Sadie for our review. She stands 18″ tall, is dressed in a sweet little cardigan, belt, corduroy skirt, tights, shoes, and headband. She is so adorable! There are tons of accessories to add on to your doll. Outfits and shoes galore as well as cars, home furnishings, tons of playlets, doll carriers and even pets! Sadie is ready for any adventure and her hair can be styled every which way. G loves to use her imagination and give her dolls “hair-dos” and style their clothes based around their activities.
And, for every Our Generation doll, outfit or accessory you buy, 10¢ goes to Free The Children’s Power of a Girl Initiative to help provide girls in developing countries an education––the most powerful tool in the world for escaping poverty. Free The Children is an amazing organization, started 16 years ago by a 12-year-old Craig Kielburger (really!), that has now built more than 650 schools which educate more than 50,000 children throughout the developing world. Not only does Free The Children build schools, but they also build and foster sustainable villages through healthcare, water programs and alternate income projects for moms and dads that give girls the opportunity to get the education they need.
What makes these dolls truly unique is the new addition of craft sets. We received the tutu making set for Sadie. G gets to play fashion designer and create her own one of a kind tutu for her doll! Seriously, a toddler girls dream. G is so into arts and crafts and combine that with the love of dolls and this gift set totally blows her mind.
I am holding off on giving G this set as I really want to keep it as one of her Christmas presents. It has taken a ton of mom will power for me to keep the doll and tutu set hidden, but now we are just 12 days away so I think I can make it! I want to make a tutu just as much as she will! This is going to be a great activity for us once preschool is out and the long, snowy winter days arrive.
Dolls and craft set are recommended for children ages 3 and up. You can purchase Our Generation dolls and accessories at your local Target or Target.com. Dolls range in price from $22.99 and up.
