Edible Arrangements // MS Society // Giveaway
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post.
When I was in college, living in Rhode Island, close to family and friends, I spend much of my free time organizing and leading volunteers for various organizations. It was through that experience that led me to work in the non-profit sector for several years while living around Washington, DC.
One of the organization I helped raise money for was the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Every Spring I would put together a team of walkers for the annual walk/run at Roger Williams Park. The walk was always super motivating and confirmed for me the importance of volunteering. Although I personally don’t have a family or friend directly affected by this disease, I thought it was important to raise awareness along with money to help the people who it does affect. You just never know when someone close to you will be affected by something so I feel its important to be informed and help whenever you can.
National Multiple Sclerosis Society announced its partnership with 62 Edible Arrangements® stores of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island for its fourth annual MS awareness campaign to raise funds to help people with MS and to support MS research. Over the past three years, these Edible Arrangements® locations donated nearly $33,000 to this cause. Edible Arrangements® stores throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island will donate $5 from every Orange Citrus Blossom™ arrangement sold during March, which is National MS Society’s MS Awareness Month. Orange is also the official color of the Society. Customers can order the Orange Citrus Blossom in March and have it delivered at any time throughout the 2014 calendar year.
