Magic Beans // Open in Fairfield, CT!
This past weekend we had a first look at the new Magic Beans store in Fairfield, CT. Its a super quick 15 minute ride from our house and its every mom/parent/caretaker/kids dream store.
I remember when we lived in Rhode Island and I was pregnant with G, the closet Magic Beans store was Boston. Although we never made it to that store, it was through their helpful website that we were able to make an informative decision on a ton of baby gear. When we decided on our stroller, we purchased the Orbit G2 Travel System from Magic Beans online site. When you are a first time parent, the whole experience can be overwhelming and that is when you want to put trust into a store that can guide you in the right direction and make you feel super comfortable with those big decisions. What crib? What mattress? What highchair? What stroller? So many choices. And, don’t get me wrong, if I don’t have to leave the house to buy something, I won’t. I order everything I can online, but sometimes, I have to see something in real life. I’m glad that Magic Beans has gear set up and ready for me to see.
Magic Beans carries all the top baby gear, toys, and more. At this particular store they have several strollers set up to try, cribs, bathing and feeding along with a ton of toys. The store has a very clean layout, organized by age and item, is much smaller than a box store, but is chuck full of gear and toys. There is something for everyone and the staff is super helpful.
I love the location they chose. This little downtown part of Fairfield has a ton of shops and resturants and is a great place for families to walk around and enjoy the day. I can’t wait to get back once the warmer weather arrives and spend the whole day.
The grand opening officially began on Friday and went straight through Sunday. Since Sunday was geared more toward parents with children we decided that day would best suit us. Saturday was more for expecting parents with sessions that included how to pick a stroller and baby wearing. See what I mean about this store being super helpful?
The day was full of activities that began around 10am starting with a visit from Elmo with morning refreshments, Kidville Rockin Railroad Band, a pop up nail booth for kids, and more Elmo! G had a blast. There were even little interactive craft tables set up demonstrating some of the unique toys for sale. G loved this! She also had the best seat in the house. Val had the other best seat, her Orbit car seat where she took it all in a dozed off. 🙂
We will definitely be headed back!
