Dentelle Bebe // Hand Knitted Christening Gowns {Review}

Disclosure: I received the following product for review. I only recommend products that are a good fit for my readers and I personally use.

Valentina’s baptism was this past weekend. It was a beautiful day between the weather, family, friends, food, and everything in-between.

A few months ago, when the party planning began, Dentelle Bebe reached out to me at the most perfect time. I had been thinking about the baptism gown Val would wear and hadn’t made a decision. When Gabriella was baptized, she wore a family heirloom that I had also worn, along with several of my cousins and even my Aunt. I really wanted something for our family to call our own and start a new tradition and heirloom to pass on to my girls and their children. My decision was made, a hand knitted gown from Dentelle Bebe would become our heirloom.

Dentelle Bebe creates one of a kind, hand knit christening gowns for boys and girls along with other unique accessories including shoes, headbands, and bonnets. Founded by two sisters, a family run business was born. The intricate art of hand crocheting is what makes these pieces truly unique and strikingly beautiful. All of the outfits are made from natural silk and cotton yarn for a soft and gentle touch, and hand decorated with exclusive ribbons and bows, tiny miniature flowers, and rare Czech pearl beads.

After reviewing the girls collection, we chose the Lily gown for Valentina. With its one of a kind hand crocheted knitting patters, and delicate adornments of handmade roses, a dazzle of beads and sumptuous ribbons it truly becomes a work of art. The addition of the Lily headband really brought the outfit together. We measured Val as they suggested to get the most accurate fit. This is important as each gown is hand made to order. The sizing was perfect with just a little room to spare. The ribbon around the waist and arms made the dress easy to adjust and there are three little pearl bead buttons on the neck for easy on and off over the head. Val wore a simple white onesie under the gown since it was a cooler day.

I cannot begin to tell you the compliments that we received from our family as well as parishioners of the church. This gown is a total showstopper and really nothing compares. I might be biased, but I truly believe Val was the most beautiful baby on baptism day. 🙂

If you are getting ready for the baptism of a child in your family, I encourage you to check out Dentelle Bebe. We are so pleased with having been able to work with them on this gown for Val, and have this amazing heirloom for our family.
