Mother’s Day Tea for Two
Today was a delightful Mother’s Day tea at my daughter’s preschool. This school has been part of our family for over four years now and we couldn’t be more confident that we found the right place for our children.
Warm, loving, caring, and kind staff who are almost like family take very special care of our kids while they are at preschool. I mean, they greet each child with a hug opening entering the classroom every day. It really warms the heart when you see the interaction and sets my mind at ease as I walk back to the car.
We celebrated Mother’s Day together today. The kids had carefully baked us a delicious treat during school on Tuesday. They painted a special table cloth where the food and drinks were displayed. They prepared songs to sing and they created special picture frame keepsakes for us to take home.
I knew what to expect having experienced this Mother’s Day tea with Gabriella when she was in preschool, but each child makes it special in their own way and I just loved every minute of our time together.
I really love that they have these celebrations – being a Mom of three feels like you are never giving *enough* attention to each child always being pulled in different directions for different reasons. It is a daily struggle to try and keep each of them pleased with the amount of time we spend together. ‘
So, I appreciate that the school hosts this Mother’s Day tea giving me that one on one time with Valentina that I don’t often get. She is my middle lady too and I know she must sometimes feel looked over. We try our best to not let that happen, but feelings are feelings.
We had a special time – she wore a special dress and we both left feeling loved. It was a good day!
I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
