Cozy Slippers for Her
Once the cold temperatures are around to stay for the many months of Fall and Winter my feet are cold. Like, always cold. Like, sometimes I feel like it would be nice to stick my feet in the fireplace for a quick second. It seems once my feet are cold I can’t get them warm. So, I wear slippers all day long when I’m at home WITH socks. Yeah, because my feet are that cold and smelly slippers are gross.
I love to have slipper options. I need to have more than one pair. Some slippers I like to slip on, some I want to step in to and some I want to be hard bottomed for a quick walk outside to grab the mail. Cold weather problems? First world problems? Call it how you like, but I like my feet to be warm and cozy. You will see from my favorite here that I like to keep my slippers neutral (blush tones, blacks, browns) BECAUSE then they easily look fab with anything I’m wearing. Pajamas, jeans, leggings, joggers these slipper options all look fab.
The pair I’ve had the longest are from UGG. And when I say a long time I’m talking a solid six years. The UGG Coquette Slipper is a backless slip on slipper with a thick sole and treads that easily transitions from inside to outside.
Coming in second are my L.L. Bean Moccasin Slippers. They kind of fit like a sock as they come on and go over the ankle. Too bad they don’t sell them any more! But, I love L.L. Bean and they have some fabulous new slippers that are on my wish-list to Santa this year. The Wicked Good Moccasins look so cozy! I love that they have a back and are totally lined. They would be a great upgrade from my UGG’s that need to go into retirement. These ACORN Oh Ewe II Slippers are exactly like my old Bean slippers.
Today I’m wearing a SUPER broken in pair of Minnetonka Cally Faux Fur Slippers. These are a great alternative if you are not into wearing real-fur or are gifting to someone who is vegan. Super comfortable and feel just like the real leather alternatives with a price point that is less than $40! The sole is pretty thin, but I have worn them out to grab the mail. I don’t make it a habit since I don’t think they will last me the six years the UGG’s have. I recommend sizing down a half size because mine have stretched out.
More slippers I have saved to my wish-list are:
So many of these could also pass for shoes! I’ve totally run out of the mud room to the car only to look down and see that I’m still wearing slippers! But, for school drop-off or the bus, maybe even a quick grocery run I didn’t mind.
