My Everyday Makeup Look
I feel like it has been a good while since I shared my everyday makeup look here. I’ve changed things up quite a bit since I posted about what was in my beauty bag.
I definitely don’t leave the house anymore without a little something. I am totally on the downhill slide to FOUR ZERO. What the HELL?! My skin has changed a lot too as I’m aging and stuff I once got away with doesn’t cut it. My skin is more dry now. It use to be oily. And, there are definitely more lines on my face than I recall.
I use to skip washing my face at night when I just didn’t feel like it. Now, I have a pretty serious nighttime face routine because I want to prevent all the aging and set in some serious moisture while I sleep. I even bought a SILK PILLOWCASE to prevent any skin tugs while I sleep and keep my hair looking good for days at a time. I swear, the pillowcase works! I had a lot of damage to my hair on one side near my temple from postpartum regrowth and sleeping on one side and the hair has had some really awesome regrowth since the new cover.
I like to switch up my products too. I rotate through several face washes, eye creams, and moisturizers throughout the week. I also do a treatment at least twice a week. My FAVORITE moisturizer is the new OLAY REGENERIST! Guys this stuff is like a miracle cream. I bought it on the recommendation of some fellow beauty bloggers. It is amazing and less than $30!
Ok, so after I wash my face with my Vichy Gel Cleanser, OR AMG Naturally Face Wash I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Cream followed by my OLAY Regenerist. This is when I’m getting ready in the morning. I shower at night because I just don’t have time for that during the day. I wash my hair about twice a week.
Moving on to the makeup. I have been using the IT COSMETICS CC+ Color Correcting Cream with SPF 50 for about a year now. This product alone has transformed my skin. My skin is so even and radiant after I apply this cream. I can really see a difference in the texture of my skin too after using it for the past year. I put some spots on my face and then blend it all in with a damp beauty blender. I use shade Medium, but mix Medium and Light in the winter.
Then, I correct my under eyes with the IT COSMETICS BYE BYE Undereye. This miracle concealer will literally hid anything. It is pretty thick and a small dab goes a long way. I apply a small amount under the eye and again blend with a damp beauty blender.
To set this, I use the IT COSMETICS Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder. I apply it with a soft powder brush. Then I start to apply the color. My blush is the IT COSMETICS Bye Bye Pores Blush – JeNe Sais Quoi. It is the perfect shade of pink. Great for every sink tone. I add a bit of highlighter on my cheekbones after the blush – Wet n Wild Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals. This is so pretty and less than $5!
EYEBROWS! I fill mine in a bit because they are a light brown and not thick. I use the L’OREAL BROW STYLIST PREP & SHAPE PRO KIT in Medium to Dark. I don’t apply a ton, but enough to make a little difference and make my brows pop. I rarely do any grooming to my brows because I want them to be as thick and full as possible. The days of EVERYDAY PLUCKING are so long done. Why did I ever think that was OK!?
Next up is some quick eye shadow. I still am pretty loyal to my NAKED Palette by URBAN DECAY. A cult classic. First I apply a base of Virgin all over the lid to get an even tone. Next up, I line my lash line top and bottom with Darkhorse. Forget dealing with eyeliner pencil – unless you are quick and good with that. This works best for me. I use the CROWN brush #C476 for both these applications. On days I just want eyeshadow in a neutral all over color I use theBalm NUDE ‘dude Eyeshadow in FLIRTY.
I usually finish the look off with a NYX BUTTER GLOSS. I find them at Target sometimes when they aren’t sold out or Amazon. My favorite nude color is Creme Brûlée.
This may seem like a lot of steps but I can be down with this in less than 15 minutes. And, if I am really short on time I skip the Foundation and just put on some of the Under Eye Cream.
I keep my everyday makeup in a makeup caboodle organizer so everything is within quick reach. Saves a bunch of time!
