Gabriella is SEVEN
Guys when I started this blog, it was right before Gabriella was about to turn one. So every year we celebrate her birthday I think back to how this blog all began. So, here I am still writing to the internet, six years later. WOW!
Gabriella turned SEVEN on Saturday. I can remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. She was four days late. I had no idea what to expect about birth or motherhood. That day I looked at her for the first time – I had no idea what the future would look like, but she would be a part of me and I would be a part of her forever. INSANE!
We have come a long way over those seven years. This is the third house she has called home and we also welcomed her siblings. Gabriella is in first grade, a super reader, loves nachos, LOL surprise dolls, dance class and creating all kinds of art. Give this gal art and office supplies and she is on cloud nine!
There was no Pinterest planned party this year. There was no theme. I didn’t plan anything really until this weekend. I had invited some immediate family and close friends and we had a *traditional* birthday that she and Anthony shared. His birthday is the 7th and her’s is the 4th! We had pizza, fresh cut fruits, assorted veggies and cake. That was it. So simple. The morning of the party is when I shopped for the supplies.
It was the most stress-free and easy going birthday party we have ever had for any of the kids. And you know what, they had a blast. I was able to sit and really chat with our guests which was a nice change of pace. And there were few enough kids that Gabriella actually was able to play with her guests.
We partied from 11am – 8pm! We were tired and that time change kinda threw us for a loop this morning when reality set in with the Monday grind.
