Two New Books for Preschoolers
In this season of giving, I like to spend some time with the kids sorting through all of their things, books included to see what they would like to pass on to other children who are in need. It just breaks my heart to know there are children waking up Christmas morning with not one single thing that is new to them. I know, Christmas isn’t about gifts, so stick with me here. But, it is nice for a child to experience the magic of Santa on Christmas morning.
So, my kids love to share lots of their books with others during this season of gifting. We have so many that we seem to collect over the course of the year. We fill a great big box of gently used books, toys and clothes and bring them to the city mission. We also grab a wish-list gift tag from our church and buy and wrap those specific items. My kids really like to get involved in this kind of service and it is something that they all can participate in even at the young ages of three, four and seven.
This helps in two ways. We make room for any gifts that my children may receive during the holidays while also providing gifts to those who may not receive.
I mention last week that I like to wrap TWELVE books and leave them out each day of the twelve days before Christmas. I have a couple of new books to share with you that are just perfect for the little ones! I have wrapped these up and they are ready for our twelve days. These books would be great additions to your Christmas gift list for a preschooler!

I can’t wait to explore these new books with my kids! Quiet reading time is something that we work on when naps seem to be OVER. And, story time before bed time is how we wind down and get ready for sleep. Regardless if the book is short or long, ending the day with a story while snuggled into bed helps my kids to focus on one thing and unwind.
