Valentine’s Day Inspiration
Valentine’s Day is just about a month away. And, February is also my birthday month! Yippee! Really feeling like OMG!
I thought it would be fun to share some fun Valentine’s Day items in case you want to get a head start on your gift shopping. In case you are in to that sort of thing! I know Valentine’s Day seems to be split in opinion so you do you! Ok?
We don’t get crazy with the stuff we give to the kids. I usually get them each a special card, a little candy treat that is their favorite or some homemade cupcakes and one gift item.
This year Valentine’s Day is on a Wednesday! Wednesday’s are pretty hectic here with school, work, and dance class in the evening so I will set the kids treats out for them the night before. At least they can check out their goods before the day gets away from us! Holiday’s for us mean sweet treats can be served at breakfast!
Seedling Littles Magical Hero Dress Up Cape Costume Kit for Toddlers Ages 2-4 // I’ve had this saved on my account since before Christmas. An adorable little dress up cape kit that both my three and four year old would love!
Melissa & Doug Stained Glass Made Easy Activity Kit // A great winter day or rainy day activity that is great for developing fine motor skills and concentration! My kids love arts and crafts and these stained class kits are no-mess!
LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Batman Minifigure Link Watch // My kids love to wear a watch. They are always asking me what time it is and are slowing starting to understand time. These LEGO watches are really cool since they come with a mini figure and are build-able! You can take it apart and build it again! So much fun and comes in a variety of characters!
omy Design & Play 24 Placemats with Colouring & Games // These placemats are adorable! Maybe I could lure my kids with these while I finish up making dinner OR keep them in my car for when we dine out! 4 of each design: Cosmos, Birthday, City, Fantastic, Magic & Aquatic. Games include: Spot the Difference, Magic Colourings, Dot to Dot & Mazes! My kids love to color so I think these would be a hit!
This Is Not a Valentine // This book is not a valentine. It doesn’t have lacey edges or sugary hearts. But it is full of lucky rocks, secret hiding spots, and gumball machine treasures. This is a book about waiting in line and wishing for cinnamon buns. About recognizing that if you care so much about someone not thinking you care, maybe you really do. But wait—isn’t that exactly what love is about? Maybe this book is sort of a valentine after all. A testament to handmade, wacky, bashful, honest love—sure to win over the hearts of all readers—this offering from debut picture book author Carter Higgins and children’s book veteran Lucy Ruth Cummins is the perfect gift to celebrate every relationship, from parent to child, sibling to sibling, partner to partner, crush to crush.
