Are you looking for a quick, healthful and tasty snack that is high in protein and low in sugar? Being totally honest, I’ve not been a big fan of cottage cheese in the past. After taste testing some flavors from the Good Culture Cottage Cheese I have to say I am cottage cheese’s newest fan!
I think I was turned off by cottage cheese in the past because I could taste the artificial ingredients instead of the pure cottage cheese.
Good Culture is like the ultimate cottage cheese. Thick and creamy and made with simple ingredients you can read and pronounce. No preservatives, no gums, no thickeners, loaded with real protein, less sugar, grass fed/pasture-raised, and mineral rich sea salt. Sound delicious?! It is! This brand is like what you would get if you made your own cottage cheese at home, but without all the work.
I love that you can find Good Culture in a variety of flavors as well as the classic plain. I found blueberry and strawberry at my local market, but am on the hunt to find pineapple and peach! The fruit is on the bottom of the cup so you’ll want to mix or stir completely before serving. Good Culture Cottage Cheese are available in natural and organic varieties. Cups (single serving) are around $1.50 each.
Now that I’ve rediscovered cottage cheese I’m getting my kids on board too! I’m always looking for a new healthful snack that they can eat that they LIKE! My kids love yogurt, but sometimes they are loaded with sugar and don’t have a great amount of protein. Good culture has HALF the sugar of regular yogurt and THREE TIMES more protein than regular yogurt in an average 5.3 ounce container. Keeping my kids tummies full and satisfied for their long days is always something I’m trying to figure out without loading them up with carbs.
Good Culture also gives 1% of their sales to nonprofit organizations dedicated to protecting the environment (www.onepercentfortheplanet.org). I am all for every little bit to saving and protecting the environment as my kids will continue to grow up and use our planet! I want it to be the best it can be.
You can find Good Culture Cottage Cheese Cups at Walmart, Target, Public Super Markets, Harris Teeter, ShopRite, Stop & Shop, H-E-B, Whole Foods Market, and Sprouts Farmers Market. Store Locator
