Holy Allergy Season AHHH CHOO #ClearBeauty #CBias #SocialFabric

May 14, 2012

Living in New England is no picnic when you have allergies. I have both indoor and outdoor allergies and was allergy tested back when I was in college. Pretty much I’m allergic to everything outside like trees, pollen, and grass, but then I’m also allergic to inside allergens like dust, mold, and cats! So I pretty much am just a sneezing mess all.of.the.time. which doesn’t really make me feel good about myself. This allergy season has been forecasted to be especially brutal for our area. We have not have enough rain so the pollen is just sitting there on top of everything. I drive a black car and it was YELLOW when I got into it today. Yuck!
When I was pregnant my allergies went away and I was beyond thrilled, but…they are back and I’m not about to be pregnant just to have allergy relief.  I have tried all the prescription medications out there and even tried a go at weekly allergy shots. Both were expensive and inconvenient. I was happy to see when Allegra became available over the counter at my local CVS Pharmacy. I figured I would give it a try since I had been suffering along this allergy season. Allegra 12 and 24 hour provides fast, non-drowsy relief from  sneezing, runny nose, itchy watery eyes, and itchy nose or throat. That sounds good to me! I just moved to NY from RI so I was anxious to find and visit my local CVS/Pharmacy. First things first, I went to the Allegra website and looked for a coupon. Sure enough, you can sign up to save and I did. I typed in the requested information and instantly was able to print out a $4.00 coupon. I loaded G into the car and we were off. My local store isn’t as close as I’d like, but the drive is nice so I guess it all evens out.
Since my mood was pretty miserable due to my sniffling and sneezing I thought I would buy some Allegra and also some new nail polish to paint my toes. For me, its the little things I do for myself like a pedicure or manicure that can instantly cheer me up. I’m not familiar with any salons in my area yet so an at-home pedicure will have to do. You can see my entire shopping trip in my Google+ album.
Really like that this CVS has the newer layout with the “yellow brick road”.
Perfect! Found a great end cap with the Allegra right next to the allergy aisle.
I have a $4.00 coupon AND its $17.99 with my CVS ExtraCare Card during the month of May.
Not on the list, but this adorable cosmetic bag matches my summer diaper bag.
All my purchases! Time to check out.
Don’t forget to use your CVS ExtraCare card that earns you cash back. Its free to join.
My helper!
Blah tootsie with chipping pedicure!
Time to get myself feeling fine!
Pretty new pedicure! I’m really digging this color. What do you think?

Once we were home I got right down to business. I took an Allegra tablet and within the hour the sneezing has subsided. This makes Mama happy. I went to bed and woke up feeling refreshed even though it was raining.

I hope you get some semi-permanent relief and I hope you got those sunglasses for your little helper – too cute! My allergies are off the charts this year as well. Might have to check out the Allegra.

I am glad that Allegra was able to help you feel better! Luckily, I haven't really had to deal with allergies.

I do like the color you chose for your toes! Cute!!
