My brother-in-law makes the most fab cocktails. He was a bar tender a long time ago…in his younger days. LOL. Anyway, he has been making us snazzy holiday drinks out of a magazine he recently picked up. I already shared this one with you, but here is another!
cranberry smash
ingredients:
- 2 oz. cranberry-infused gin
- 1 barspoon Demarara sugar {found at Williams-Sonoma}
- 1/4 of a fresh lemon, diced
- 1 spring fresh rosemary
- 5-6 fresh cranberries
- Shaker
- muddler
- strainer
Method:
- Combine rosemary, cranberries, sugar and diced lemon in a shaker and muddle. Add the gin and shake hard with ice cubes. Strain over large ice cube into rocks glass and garnish with 3 fresh cranberries skewered on a rosemary spring.
To make cranberry-infused Gin:
- Combine a 750-mililiter bottle of dry gin in a quart-sized jar with 1 cup fresh, gently muddles cranberries and let macerate for one week before straining into a bottle.
