Laid Back Easter and the First in Our New Home
Easter is over!
This year we celebrated Easter in our own home! It was super laid back. No formal wear, no fancy meal, just laid back fun.
We started Easter weekend off with an Easter egg hunt at a local nursery, Twombly Nursery and Landscaping. The weather was more than perfect and G had a blast. She had never gone on an Easter egg hunt before, but as soon as it began she got the hang of it and was off to race the rest of the kids. Once she had her loot we headed back home and spent the rest of the day with family OUTSIDE because after the longest winter of our lives, no one wants to be inside.
Easter Sunday was much of the same. We woke to sunshine and headed out into our own yard for another egg hunt. After a quick change out of our pi’s we went back out into the fresh air for the rest of the day.
Both gals have colds, runny noses and little coughs, but seems like Val got hit the hardest. When she wasn’t napping inside I had her outside as well because vitamin D and fresh air does a body good.
We grilled our Easter dinner. Yep, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, alongside pasta salad and roasted veggies. We topped it all off with fresh ricotta and rice pie, and Easter biscuits.
I hope you had a fabulous Easter too!
