Maternity Monday // Summer Style
This isn’t my first summer as a pregnant lady.
When I was pregnant with G, the summer of 2010 was one of the hottest summers on record. It was pretty awful, but I survived.
I am so thankful to whoever invented central air conditioning because obviously its saving my sanity right now. 🙂
I really don’t want to spend money on maternity clothes this time around because this is my last pregnancy. Spending money on clothes that I know I won’t wear again doesn’t give me a thrill. Sure, I have some clothes from the other two pregnancies that I can wear, but clothes don’t always last, and the seasons don’t always match up. Huff.
So, here I am, trying to be super frugal, but also find things I can wear over the next couple of months during these hot and steamy days of summer. Of course, I first turn to Old Navy maternity because of their ultra low prices and sales. They have a pretty good selection of tanks and t’s which is what I need. I have a couple pairs of capri pants and jeans, so I’m not looking for pants. GAP maternity has my favorite tank. The pure body tanks are the softest things ever. And, the few that I grabbed when I was pregnant with G are still as soft as ever and look like new, nearly 3.5 years later! A value at just $14.99. I know these tanks will be good for layering long after baby brother is born so I won’t feel guilty about the purchase.
I’m gonna have to grab a cute summer dress for an upcoming party and again, not wanting to break the bank I picked out a few from Old Navy that I think will keep me cool and cute. A pop of color with a light summer scarf and I’ll be good to go. Here are some of my options:
With two little ladies to keep up with I want to be comfortable, but not look like a hot mess. I want to feel put together when I grab a top and bottom and not feel like a frump which can be especially hard when your tummy is all gigantic. 🙂
