Marvelous in My Monday #MIMM
It is still January and as a refresh for this new year I figure I will start the Monday with some positivity. I’m linking up with Katie from Healthy Diva Life. I have been following her on Instagram forever and she is always so positive and motivating and is honest about her struggles. I’m going to link up every week. Maybe you want to join me?
You may have noticed my site has been down a lot. Well, I’m hoping that is fixed now…fingers crossed. Positive thoughts!
Thursday was Val’s first day at “Mother’s Day Out” and after pickup I treated all three to Starbucks cake pops so I could drink my coffee, while it was hot. It really is the little things. 🙂 She had such a blast. I’ll have to write a post about that on its own.
This past weekend we had our first major snowstorm here in Connecticut when Blizzard Jonas hit the Mid-Atlantic and part of New England with a bang. I did what I saw my mom do during bad storms, stood at the stove and baked homemade pumpkin bread and cooked a big pot of chili. I didn’t run to the market before the storm and grab anything. I knew our pantry and fridge had plenty to get us by for a couple days. Luckily we didn’t loose power.
This was the first snowstorm in awhile that I was able to get outside with the kids. Last year Anthony was just weeks old when Mother Nature turned on the snow maker for four months straight. I watched from inside as the girls built snowmen and trudged through the knee deep snow. The winter before that, Val was about 6 months old. It was nice to get out there in the middle of the blizzard after we bundled them both up for 25 minutes. I put on my ski clothes from 2009 (LOL) and my new boots and headed out. Invigorating, but damn cold and windy. We lasted about 40 minutes and the girls had a blast. Obviously our dog Rhody was pleased too.
Anthony is really starting to cruise on things by holding on. He is determined to walk, but I’m not ready to see him run after his sisters. I’d rather just keep him my little baby. Eh, babies don’t keep. Look how big this guy is! 14 months and nearly as tall as his sister Val who is 2.5.
Hope you have a great week!
