Marvelous in My Monday
Is it marvelous to begin a Monday at 5am? I’m not sure it is, but that is when Anthony woke up today. At least – at least the sun was up and the birds were chirping which really makes a difference (in my opinion) when waking so early. I think he had a nightmare, but wasn’t going to go back to sleep – tried it.
This weekend was cra-zy. Saturday we had dance at soccer back to back and since Daddy had to go to graduation ceremonies, I had all three kids in tow. I’m talking the four of us out the door no later than 8:20am! I couldn’t skip out on either activity – it was my turn for snacks at soccer and it was the next to last practice for the big dance recital coming up this weekend!
Val and Anthony were troopers, but by the time we arrived home around 11 they crashed hard and napped for about 2 hours. It was a good day for napping too with grey skies and on and off rain. I ordered a pizza for dinner and called it a day.
Sunday started off rainy, but then the sun came out and it warmed up! We headed out to Newtown for the first of many festivals. The kids had fun!
Face painting and big jumping things – this is what childhood dreams are made of right? It is nice to see them both be able to enjoy the same experiences now that Val is a little older and bigger. Anthony isn’t too far behind his sisters – but yesterday he spent most of the time in the stroller.
I didn’t get any time to work on my dining room table over the weekend. I ordered my finishes from Amazon and it should all be delivered tomorrow. I’ll probably start painting the base tomorrow with the chalk paint – weather permitting. This week the forecast looks sunny and warm! Hopefully I can get this project finished up before the weekend!
*I think* I’m finished with the sanding. I may go over it again one last time with the fine grit 120 paper just to make sure it is super smooth. Then, a good vacuum and wipe down with a tack cloth before I apply the wood conditioner.
Hope you had a great weekend!
