How Am I Relaxing at the End of the Day Without Social Media?

What do you do to relax at the end of the day? I like to read or do something that isn’t social media related. I’ve found getting my mind off things all together is best. Distracting myself from my to-do lists, and settling down with something that keeps my mind sharp. My latest find is the Jigsaw Puzzle app!
A funny story. When T.J. and I were first dating, before social media and smart phones (GASP) we use to spend time every so often putting together puzzles. You know, those massive ones with 1,000 pieces? Yep, we were like an old couple doing our puzzle. HA! Well, puzzles have come full circle for us because now we do them with the kids. And you know what? Its still fun! Searching for pieces, seeing what piece fits where, sorting out all the corners and edges. I love when the puzzle is so big it takes days to complete!
So, when my family isn’t game for a puzzle, I can play with the app on my phone. Anytime, anywhere, there are over 20,000 puzzles to chose from ranging up to 400 pieces so I’ll probably never do the same one twice. And the app gives me the same kinda feeling as if I were moving pieces along my coffee table. The puzzles are in a variety of design packs like nature, animals, food, artwork, patterns, crafting and from various artist. Everything you’d expect from a Jigsaw Puzzle.
Last night after a very long Monday, I took my nightly shower and put on my cozy pj’s. Its super chilly here in Connecticut and it was a perfect night to get layered up in my favorite robe and cozy into bed. I pulled up my Jigsaw Puzzle app which is a FREE download to my tablet or phone (both Apple, Google Play and Kindle Fire) and picked my first puzzle. After you select your puzzle, you can select the difficulty which is essentially the number of pieces in your puzzle.
Even my kids love the app! If they want tech time at home I can set them up with a puzzle and have the peace of mind knowing they are doing something other than watching countless YouTube videos about how to make slime! It is something we can even do together on the iPad if we make the puzzle have the full 400 pieces. We can take turns passing the iPad along each putting a puzzle piece in its rightful spot. Critical thinking along with a relaxing go-to activity has made the Jigsaw Puzzle app a new family favorite!
