Happy 8th Birthday Gabriella
Holy cow guys, my oldest is EIGHT! I’ve been a mom for eight years. That went fast! Gabriella turned eight on Sunday, November fourth.
Gabriella is in second grade now. She has been excelling in school since she started. She is that person who is going to be always striving for perfection. I see so much of myself in her and it both gives me excitement and fear. She is so strong willed and so smart. She wears her feelings on her sleeve. She is a really good friend. Gabriella likes to be going all the time and doing all the things until she basically collapses from finally being tired enough to sleep.
She is into slime, LOL surprise dolls, Harry Potter, putty, and making bracelets. She has always been interested in some kind of art so her coloring has evolved into her being a maker of things. At eight she can walk to the small corner store on Main Street just about 1/2 mile from our house. She goes with a big group of friends from the neighborhood that includes older siblings. I can drop her off to her dance classes and know that she is going to be responsible to be on her best behavior. Eight has certainly brought her a bit of independence and she likes it. I guess being the oldest has its perks after all!
We celebrate with family on Sunday and went out to her favorite place for dinner, The Cheesecake Factory. My kids seem to always choose that restaurant for birthday dinners. Gabriella is excited to celebrate with ten of her best girlfriends this Saturday at a cool shop called Board & Brush. They are making some cool things out of wood! Can’t wait to share more about that!
If you are stumped about what to buy and 8 year old girl check out my birthday gift list! Everything was a hit!
