Pizza. Your Favorite Vegetable. Caulipower Gluten Free Pizza.

Pizza. Your Favorite Vegetable. Caulipower Gluten Free Pizza.

I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

I’ve been eating a gluten free lifestyle for nearly three years now. That is pretty insane when I write it out like that. The time has flown by since me and T.J. cut gluten from our diets. We did it by choice. A recommendation by my husband’s primary doctor for him after some stomach troubles.

At first it was a huge learning curve. A lot of reading packages which we already did anyway, but now looking for gluten too. A lot of staring into the food pantry wondering what we could eat. Re-learning our everyday cooking habits and developing new ones. It was an adjustment for awhile but now we are in the full swing and it really just keeps getting easier with all the gluten free options coming into the markets. You don’t have to travel to the natural food store anymore to find diet – specific food items because they are available everywhere.

Pizza was a tough thing to cut. I mean, pizza is at every birthday party and special occasion and here at our house we have Friday night pizza. So, we still get the kids their favorite pizza from the local pizza shop, but T.J. and I are often left eating leftovers or trying to find a pizza substitute. There are a lot of veggie and gluten free pizzas out there and over the past few years I feel like we have tried them all. Mostly we gave them a 4 or 5 stars out of 10. They just were either too gummy, too chewy, too much like cardboard and after a while we just gave up on eating pizza ever again.

That is until we saw the CAULIPOWER pizza at our local Stop & Shop in the frozen pizza section. The packaging stood out and took me by surprise. The “crust” is made form cauliflower instead of gluten free substitutes like rice or corn. I bought it because … pizza!

Cooking the pie is easy! Preheat your oven to 425 Fahrenheit. Remove the frozen pizza from the box, overwrap, and cardboard. Cook the frozen pizza directly on the middle rack. For a conventional oven, cook for 13–15 minutes and for a convection oven, cook for 7–11 minutes, or until crust is crispy and cheese is golden brown. It comes out perfect every time! I use a wooden pizza peel to grab it from the oven rack. You can hear the crispy crunch as soon as you start to cut. I love a crispy thin crust!

CAULIPOWER reinvents our favorite comfort foods to be naturally nutritious, righteously delicious and accessible to all. CAULIPOWER products use real cauliflower as the first ingredient, resulting in naturally gluten-free options lower in calories, sugar, sodium and fat, and higher in vitamins, protein and fiber thank conventional pizza. With CAULIPOWER, everyone at the table can love what they eat—and finally be able to share from the same plate.

All CAULIPOWER products are made with real cauliflower and nutritious, wholesome ingredients. No processed junk! CAULIPOWER Pizzas are gluten-free, have less then half the sugar of leading gluten-free pizzas, are an excellent source of vitamin C, and are a good source of protein. CAULIPOWER was created to help make your life easier, providing nutritious options that are easy to make and ready in 15 minutes or less. Through a partnership with OneSun, CAULIPOWER helps fight against childhood obesity and contributes a percentage of all sales to the creation of vegetable gardens at underserved schools throughout the country. Their pizzas are available in six varieties: Three Cheese, Margherita, Veggie, All Natural Uncured Pepperoni, Plain Cauliflower Crust, and Paleo Cauliflower Crust. Their 11.6 ounce pizzas typically retail for $7.99.

You know what!? These CAULIPOWER pizzas are delicious! You want to know how I know? Well, my kids LIKE IT! They like it just as much as their favorite local shop! A three, five and seven year old like a pizza made from cauliflower! They are eating vegetables! Cauliflower no less. Imagine if I put some steamed or mashed cauliflower on their dinner plates? They would be horrified. But, cauliflower in pizza and they can’t get enough. They eat it all, crust and all. I love that they are getting vitamin D, calcium and fiber from their pizza. Plus, this pizza has hardly any sugar!

Since one 11.6 ounce pizza serving is about 1/2 a pie I recommend cooking at least two or three for a family of 5. The cost is the same for pizza you order out but the taste and benefits are so much better! I encourage you to try CAULIPOWER pizza if you are looking to switch up your pizza night or are looking to lesses or remove the gluten from your diet! So good!
